As Taiwan continues to advance industrial transformation and professional talent development, information systems have become the operational backbone of research institutes and training organizations. The Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC) has long been dedicated to industrial technology R&D, talent cultivation, and industry-academia collaboration. With the continuous expansion of its operations and influence, its services now encompass enrollment management, accommodation applications, partner vendor coordination, and digital learning platforms, all of which rely heavily on stable IT systems to support complex administrative and training processes. Facing challenges such as multi-system integration, cross-department collaboration, and long-term data management, ensuring uninterrupted operations and robust cybersecurity protection has become a critical priority for MIRDC.
Unlike one-time system implementation projects, this collaboration between Shanda Information and MIRDC focuses on long-term operational stability and continuous optimization. Shanda Information provides comprehensive maintenance and technical support services for multiple core platforms, including the enrollment system, information management system, multimedia platform, and talent development portal. The enrollment system enhances course management and backend administration capabilities, while the information management system streamlines administrative workflows such as accommodation applications and vendor management, significantly reducing cross-department coordination efforts. In addition, the stable maintenance of training and multimedia platforms ensures seamless training operations and delivers a high-quality digital learning experience.
Beyond routine troubleshooting, configuration maintenance, and functional adjustments, Shanda Information has also incorporated regular vulnerability assessments and source code security reviews into the service framework. Through continuous security inspections and code-level remediation, potential cybersecurity risks can be identified and mitigated proactively, strengthening the protection of learner privacy and internal organizational data while reinforcing the platform’s overall digital trust foundation. With ongoing technical collaboration and maintenance support, Shanda Information helps reduce system disruptions and operational burdens, enabling the platform to reliably support talent development, course management, and administrative services.
The project lead commented, “For national-level research and training institutions, the value of information systems lies not only in functionality, but also in long-term operational stability and rigorous cybersecurity governance. Leveraging extensive maintenance experience, strong system management capabilities, and continuous technical collaboration, Shanda Information has helped MIRDC establish a stable and sustainable digital environment, allowing the organization to focus on its core mission of cultivating professional talent for Taiwan’s industries.”
